Shipping

We will send your Opal within the first two working days after receiving payment. We use express EMS shipping so your Opal can be tracked and arrives in a safe and timely manner.

FREE SHIPPING ON ANY PURCHASE OVER $400 AUD.  Free shipping on any single or multiple items totalling $400 AUD or more.

You will only pay ONE lot of shipping for items totalling less than $300.

Australian Express Shipping      $15.00

International Express Shipping  $30.00

Insurance (Recommended for International Customers) $20.00 

SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA

Currently we offer FREE EMS express shipping Australia wide on any order over $400. For orders under $400, there is a $15 fee for EMS express shipping.

Shipping Times with Australia Post Express: 1-3 Business Days with a tracking number.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING TIMES

Australia Post Express Worldwide Shipping: 7-21 Business Days with tracking number.

Please be aware that Coober Pedy, Australia is VERY remote and therefore shipping charges are extremely high for us. We absorb some of those shipping costs for you and your order, to try and reduce the total shipping fee.

Shipping times are only an estimate. Opals by Steed takes no responsibility if actual shipping time differs from that stated. If shipping to your country is not offered, please email us at: opalsbysteed@gmail.com and we will endeavour to find a way to ship your parcel to you. 

TAXES AND IMPORT LIABILITIES

Please note Opals by Steed does not cover import liabilities that may be applied by the government of the destination country. Opals by Steed does not accept any responsibility for customs delays, duties or taxes that may apply in the destination country. If you would prefer to not pay your countries tax fees, please let us know at checkout (where you can add a note and declare low value). We are happy to do this for you – but understand your purchase cannot be refunded if declared 'missing' in the post, without being insured. For peace of mind in the event your international parcel goes missing, please select the 'insurance' option at check out. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS OVER $500 AUD, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING INSURANCE AT CHECKOUT.

Please allow up to 2 business days for dispatch on international orders. Opals by Steed is not responsible if customers are not notified by their country’s postal authority that items are awaiting payment of customs duties and taxes.

Shipping charges and insurance are non-refundable. If you received FREE shipping and insurance on your order and decide to return/refund your items, you will be refunded the order amount minus the actual cost for shipping and insurance. The refund will be issued by the payment that was originally used. For customers receiving a refund through PayPal, the refund will be less the PayPal transaction fee.  

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SECURE ADDRESSES

& COLLECTION OF PARCELS

The courier will leave your order at the front door, letterbox, or secure location. Once the parcel has been delivered to your shipping address Opals by Steed takes no responsibility for any damage or theft that may occur. If you will not be present to accept your delivery or your address is not safe to have a parcel left unattended, we recommend using a business address or an alternate secure address.

 

RETURNS

Our Promise - Satisfaction Guarantee

We guarantee you will be happy with your Australian Opal purchase - so much so that if you are not happy, we will refund your purchase within 7 days of receiving the package.

Email opalsbysteed@gmail.com if you require a return. Returns must be sent back in the original packaging, along with any gift with purchase. Opals by Steed will deduct 10% of refund if opal is not sent back in the original packaging, as well as any gift with purchase the customer decides to keep. Custom orders and alterations to the stone are non-refundable.  

 

RETURN TO SENDER

Opals by Steed does not take responsibility for uncollected parcels that are returned to sender, or incorrect addresses that are returned to sender. If your tracking states that the parcel has been delivered, please first check with your local post office (either by phone or dropping into the local shop) before contacting us. Alternatively, call Australia Post with your tracking number to acquire further information on 13 7678 (Australia) or +61 3 8847 9045 (Overseas). You can also enter your tracking number directly into their website or your local postal service website for more updates.

INCORRECT ADDRESS

 

If you accidentally provided the wrong address please email us ASAP: opalsbysteed@gmail.com. Unfortunately, if your parcel has already been shipped we are unable to intercept the parcel to change the address and the cost to have the parcel reshipped will be at the customer's expense. The address can only be changed if your order has not been shipped.
